Go Fish Rules for 3 or 4 Players

Short answer
For three or four players, deal five cards to each person and place the rest face down as the pond. On each turn, choose one opponent and request a rank already in your hand. Successful requests and matching Go Fish draws earn another turn. The most books of four wins.
A larger Go Fish table uses the same basic rules as a two-player game, but every request must name one opponent. Listening to requests between other players becomes an important source of information.
PLAY GO FISH ONLINESet up a three- or four-player game
Shuffle a standard 52-card deck and deal five cards to each player. Three players leave 37 cards in the pond; four players leave 32. Choose a first player at random and continue clockwise when a turn ends.
Choose one opponent for every request
Ask one named opponent for one rank already in your own hand. You cannot ask the whole table at once. If the chosen player holds that rank, they give you every matching card they have and you take another turn.
Resolve a Go Fish answer
If the chosen opponent has none of the requested rank, draw one card from the pond. A draw matching the requested rank lets you play again; any other draw ends your turn and play moves clockwise.
Use an extra turn at a larger table
After a successful request, you may ask the same opponent again or choose someone else. The new request must still name a rank currently in your hand. Changing targets can help you follow clues revealed earlier in the round.
Complete books and refill empty hands
Place all four cards of a rank into your book area as soon as you collect them. If that leaves your hand empty and the pond still contains cards, draw a replacement hand. If the pond is empty, wait until the remaining players finish.
End and score the game
Finish after all 13 books are complete or the pond and every hand are empty. Each book is worth one point. The player with the most books wins, and equal highest scores produce a tie.
Simple multiplayer strategy
Listen even when it is not your turn. A request proves that the asker holds at least one card of that rank, while a Go Fish response proves that the chosen opponent had none at that moment. Reconsider that information after anyone draws.

Can you ask every opponent at once?
No. Each request names one opponent. If the request succeeds and you receive another turn, you may keep or change the target.
